Event Rentals in Englewood, CO

Compare event rental options for Englewood, from canopies, tables and chairs to tents, sound, lighting and restrooms for pavilion parties, block parties, backyard celebrations and community events.

Serving Arapahoe County and nearby communities.

Englewood's parks are some of the strictest in the metro for party gear: no alcohol, no amplifiers and no bounce houses, and canopies are capped at 200 square feet. Backyards and permitted community events are where bigger rental setups go.

Popular Event Rental Needs in Englewood

Common Englewood setups, shaped by the City's park rules.

  • Pavilion Birthday Parties and Reunions

A reserved pavilion comes with picnic tables and grills, so most orders are extra tables and chairs, a serving table and up to 200 square feet of pop-up shade. Leave the bounce house and the speakers for a backyard party.

  • Backyard Celebrations

Private yards are where Englewood hosts put the frame tent, the inflatable, the DJ and the bar. Measure the yard, check overhead lines and gates, and confirm the tent size with the provider before booking.

  • Neighborhood Block Parties

Residents use the Block Party Application rather than the Community Event License. Add folding tables, chairs and a canopy or two to the City's Block Party Trailer, which must be reserved at least 10 days ahead.

  • Community Events and Festivals

Public events with more than 50 expected guests, two or more vendors or a temporary structure need a Community Event License. Tents, staging, barricades and restrooms all go on the plan the City reviews.

  • Backyard Weddings

A small backyard wedding can use a dance floor, string lights and a tent, none of which work in an Englewood park. Ask the provider about delivery access on narrow older lots.

  • Restrooms for Larger Gatherings

Community events and big backyard parties often add a portable restroom or restroom trailer and a handwashing station. Show them on any plan you submit to the City.

Planning an Event in Englewood?

Englewood is a compact, older inner-ring suburb on Denver's southern edge in Arapahoe County, and most of its parties happen at one of 14 pavilions in eight City parks or in a backyard. Pavilions are reserved online through Englewood Recreation for a mid-April to mid-October season; for 2026 the window runs from Saturday, April 18 through Sunday, October 11. Each reservation includes the shelter with picnic tables and BBQ grills, and the City now requires a pavilion reservation for any use over two hours in a 24-hour period. There's a limit of five pavilion reservations per calendar year.

Groups that want the park without a pavilion need a Park Use Permit once they pass 15 people, and the City issues no more than four of those per calendar year. Rental plans have to fit the park rules, which are tighter than in most neighboring cities. Alcohol, including 3.2 beer, is prohibited in all Englewood parks, and the City says no permits will be issued for it. Amplifiers aren't allowed, which rules out karaoke machines, microphones and large speakers; small music devices are fine if they don't disturb other park users. Bounce houses, dunk tanks, carnival games, pony rides and booths are also prohibited.

Shade has a hard cap. Park visitors may bring no more than two 10x10 pop-up canopies or one 10x20, staked with stakes no longer than eight inches, for a combined footprint of 200 square feet. Vehicles can't drive into parks, so plan on carrying tables and coolers from the lot. Food trucks need a City of Englewood license and written permission from Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf.

Public events follow a separate track. A Community Event License, filed through the City's iMS portal, is required for temporary activities open to the public with an expected attendance of more than 50 that substantially deviate from the current land use, events that close or affect streets or sidewalks, events held on or affecting City property, and events with two or more vendors or an exterior temporary structure subject to Englewood Fire Marshal regulations. For an event in a park, reserve and pay for the location first, then upload the confirmation with the application. Resident block parties run through the Neighborhood Resources Program's shorter Block Party Application instead, and residents can reserve the City's Block Party Trailer at least 10 days ahead.

Englewood Event Rental FAQ

Can I bring a bounce house to an Englewood park?

No. Bounce houses and jump castles are prohibited in Englewood parks and open spaces, as are dunk tanks. Plan inflatables for a private yard instead.

How many canopies can I set up at an Englewood pavilion?

Park visitors may bring no more than two 10x10 pop-up canopies or one 10x20 pop-up canopy, staked with stakes no longer than eight inches. Total canopy area can't exceed 10 by 20 feet.

Can I have a DJ or alcohol at an Englewood park party?

No. Amplifiers, including karaoke machines, microphones and large speakers, aren't allowed in Englewood parks, and alcohol is prohibited with no permits issued. Small music devices are allowed if they don't disturb others.

When do I need a Community Event License in Englewood?

When a temporary activity is open to the public with more than 50 expected attendees and departs from the current land use, closes or affects streets or sidewalks, uses or affects City property, or includes two or more vendors or a temporary structure under Fire Marshal rules. Resident block parties use a separate Block Party Application.

Do I need a permit for a big group at an Englewood park without a pavilion?

Yes. Groups of more than 15 need a Park Use Permit from Parks, Recreation, Library and Golf, and use over two hours in a 24-hour period now requires a pavilion reservation.
