Event Rentals in Westminster, CO
Compare event rental options for Westminster and the northwest Denver metro, from tables, chairs and tents to wedding rentals, restroom trailers, stages and sound for backyard parties, community events and lakeside gatherings.
Serving Adams and Jefferson Counties and nearby communities.
Westminster's park pavilions come with some of the metro's tightest rules, with no inflatables, no amplified music and no tent bigger than 10 by 10 feet, so larger celebrations usually move to private property or a special event permit.

Popular Event Rental Needs in Westminster
How Westminster hosts use rentals, from pavilion picnics to backyard receptions.
Pavilion Birthday & Graduation Parties
Pavilion capacities run from 30 to 200 guests depending on the park, and the rental covers the pavilion area only. Rent extra tables and chairs for the overflow, and plan carry-in delivery, since vehicles can't be driven to pavilions.
Explore Table & Chair RentalsSmall Shade Tents Only
In a City park, tents are capped at 10 by 10 feet. For anything larger, host on private property and ask the provider whether the tent crosses the Fire Department's 400-square-foot permit line.

With no amplified music or large tents in City parks, receptions tend to land on private property, where the full kit applies: a tent, seating, linens, lighting and a dance floor.
Explore Wedding RentalsRestrooms for Public Events
The special event site plan has to show where restrooms go and whether they're gender-specific and accessible, and the written plan needs delivery and pickup times. Restroom trailers suit weddings and longer events on private property.

Festivals, car shows and markets that draw 25 or more people to City property, or spill into a private parking lot, need the Special Event – Temporary Use Permit 45 days out. Stages, sound and lighting belong on the site plan.
Explore Stage RentalsLakeside Gatherings at Standley Lake
Private gatherings at Standley Lake go through the park's own Special Use Permit, due 30 days ahead. Ask the park which venues are available and what outside rentals it allows before you place an order.

Planning an Event in Westminster?
Westminster sits between Denver and Boulder along the US 36 corridor and spans two counties: the City's own guidance places areas west of Sheridan Boulevard in Jefferson County and areas east of it in Adams County. The county line rarely changes a rental order, but applications sometimes ask for it, so note which side of Sheridan your site is on.
City park pavilions are the most common small-event venue, and their rules shape the rental list. Reservations run 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and capacities range from 30 people at the smallest pavilions to 200 at Squires Park. Inflatables, including jump castles, aren't allowed in any City park, amplified music isn't allowed, outside grills can't be brought in, and only tents 10 by 10 feet or smaller are permitted. Piñatas, confetti, glitter and water balloons are out too, vehicles can't be driven to pavilions, and pavilion restrooms close at 8 p.m. Beer and wine are allowed only with an alcohol permit, in cans or boxes, never glass.
Larger and public events follow a different path. A Special Event – Temporary Use Permit is required when an event is open to the public, expects 25 or more people and uses City property, or when a public event at a business expands outdoors into a parking lot or onto adjacent property. Applications go in at least 45 days ahead. The site plan has to show every tent and canopy regardless of size, restrooms and whether they're accessible, trash and recycling, and parking for at least a third of attendees, and the written plan has to explain how the event will respond to extreme heat or cold, high winds, tornadoes, heavy rain or snow and lightning.
Tents get their own review. The City's application flags tents over 400 square feet, or over 700 square feet combined, for a Westminster Fire Department permit and inspection, and the Fire Department's special event requirements keep generators outside tents and at least 20 feet from tent walls and other combustibles. For a lakeside gathering, Standley Lake Regional Park, a 3,000-acre park in unincorporated Jefferson County, uses its own Special Use Permit for private gatherings, with the application due at least 30 days ahead. Its lake supplies drinking water to Westminster, Thornton and Northglenn, so swimming and wading aren't allowed.

Westminster Event Rental FAQ
Can I have a bounce house at a Westminster park?
No. The City says inflatables, including jump castles, aren't allowed in any City of Westminster park. Hold the party at home or another private property, and ask the provider about anchoring and power.
Can I play music at a Westminster pavilion?
Amplified music isn't allowed in City parks under the pavilion rules. Plan acoustic entertainment, or move a DJ or band to a private venue.
How big a tent can I put up in a Westminster park?
Tents 10 by 10 feet and smaller are permitted at pavilions. Larger tents belong on private property or in a permitted special event, and tents over 400 square feet need a Fire Department permit and inspection.
When do Westminster pavilion reservations open?
Westminster rents pavilions by season, and reservations are made online through a household account. The City posts each season's dates and opening day on its Park Pavilions page; the 2026 rental season ran April 15 through September 30. Outside the rental season, pavilions are first come, first served.
Do I need a permit for a public event in Westminster?
If it's open to the public, expects 25 or more people and uses City property, yes: a Special Event – Temporary Use Permit, submitted at least 45 days ahead. Public events that spill from a business into a parking lot or onto adjacent property need one too.
